The terrain around Erie Falls was starting to show some obvious hints of autumn colors on this fine October day. The hues are probably at their peak by now (the 14th of October). The split spillways are a good sign that the water levels had improved considerable since my summer trip here.

Erie Falls is located upstream from the Waters Meet Point.

This photograph was captured on October 8th, 2014, with a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L lens on a Canon EOS 5D DSLR body. The aperture was set to f/11 with a shutter speed of 0.8 seconds. The lens was at the 28mm focal length. The camera's ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a 222 pistol Grip head.

Ricketts Glen State Park is located at the junction of RT-118 and RT 487 in Fairmount Township, Pennsylvania, USA. The nearest town is Red Rock, PA, less than half way to Williamsport from Wilkes Barre, PA.
